Controller and Contact

Personal data on betano-recenze.cz are controlled by the website's operator. Write to contact@betano-recenze.cz if you want to know how your data are handled or wish to use any of your rights as a data subject.

What Data We Process

  • Technical data about your visit: your IP address, the kind of device, browser and operating system you use, when you came and which page addresses you opened. We need them to run, protect and analyse the website.
  • Emails: when you write to contact@betano-recenze.cz, we handle your address, what you wrote and your signature, if you added one.
  • Cookies: see the Cookies section further down.

Nothing is processed beyond these purposes. No information about gambling, identity checks or payments is kept on the website, and the data of Betano players are not here either.

Recipients of Data

Only two kinds of providers may see personal data, and only for running the website and measuring its traffic:

  • hosting and CDN providers, who keep the site online, reachable and protected;
  • web analytics providers, whose visitor statistics help us improve the site.

We name a provider only where it can be publicly identified on the website. Unverified entities, and other third parties without a legal reason, receive no data from us.

Transfers Outside the EU and EEA

Should we use an analytics tool of a company seated outside the European Union and the European Economic Area, personal data would travel to a third country. The transfer is then covered by standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) that secure an adequate level of protection. Without such a service, no data leave for third countries.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., you can:

  • find out which of your data we process (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • ask for inaccurate data to be put right (Art. 16),
  • request erasure, the so-called “right to be forgotten”, where the conditions of Art. 17 are met,
  • ask us to restrict processing (Art. 18),
  • use portability where processing is automated and rests on consent or a contract (Art. 20),
  • object to processing that relies on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
  • withdraw consent where it is the legal ground; earlier processing stays lawful.

How and When We Handle a Request

Email your request to contact@betano-recenze.cz. The controller answers without undue delay, at the latest 30 days after receiving it. For complicated requests, or when many arrive, the deadline may grow by two more months, and the controller will tell you so.

Complaint to the Supervisory Authority

If you think our handling of your data is unlawful, you are entitled to complain to the supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection, known as ÚOOÚ (www.uoou.cz), whose address is Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7.

Security

Data travelling between your device and our server are protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption. Who can reach personal data is limited by technical and organisational safeguards in line with the current state of technology. We review our security set-up regularly and take steps that lower the risk of misuse or of access by unauthorised persons.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file saved to your device by a website. Cookies make the site work as it should, allow traffic to be analysed and occasionally let content or ads be personalised.

  • Essential cookies run basic functions the website might not work without. § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. lets us use them without asking for consent.
  • Analytical cookies gather anonymised figures on how the site is used.
  • Marketing cookies make personalised ads possible and follow users from one website to another.

The analytical and marketing kinds are stored only after you agree. A record called ck-consent remembers your decision and is kept for as long as your browser settings allow.

Cookies can be managed or blocked in your browser; its help pages explain the details. Google Chrome keeps them under Privacy and security, item Cookies and other site data; Mozilla Firefox under Options, Privacy & Security, item Cookies and Site Data. In Microsoft Edge open Settings, then Cookies and site permissions and Cookies and site data; in Safari go to Preferences, Privacy and Manage Website Data.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy if the law or the way we process personal data changes. Significant changes will be announced on the website itself; still, it is worth coming back to the current wording now and then.
